The Singapore Pakistani Association organized a coffee morning on August 23rd 2023 in collaboration with the Singapore Breast Surgery Centre.
Recognizing the paramount significance of female health, it is imperative for every woman to possess a comprehensive understanding of this subject matter. The event commenced with introductory remarks.
Dr. Lee Wai Peng (Senior Breast consultant/Surgeon) shared her knowledge and proficiency in areas including cancer statistics, self-examination methodologies, and the latest technological developments in Mammograms.
Participants asked questions and there was a thorough discussion on 3D scanning, followed by a practical engagement aimed at assisting individuals battling cancer. The event concluded with a guided tour of the facility and tasty refreshments.

Celebrating Pakistan’s Independence Day with Flavor and Fervor: A Delightful SPA Recipe Sharing Event
The recently held SPA recipe sharing event, themed around Pakistan’s Independence Day, turned out to be an enchanting celebration of cultural culinary traditions, vibrant colors, and a shared love for food. Participants came dressed in green and white, reflecting the colors of Pakistan’s flag, creating a visually appealing and patriotic ambiance.
The event was graced with the presence of the Pakistan Ambassador, Ms. Rukhsana, who enthusiastically partook in the activities of the day. One of the event’s highlights was when Ms. Rukhsana, amidst applause and cheers, cut a beautifully crafted cake designed to represent Pakistan’s heritage. It was a symbolic gesture that commemorated Pakistan’s Independence and further deepened the bond of friendship and respect among all the attendees.
Adding to the heartwarming atmosphere, the attendees also had the chance to belt out a few patriotic songs. The melodic verses and rhythms echoed throughout the venue, promoting a sense of unity and pride among everyone present. It was a profound reminder of the strength of music and how it can transcend borders and bring people together.
Yet, as with any celebration centered around food, the true stars of the event were undoubtedly the dishes presented. The attendees were treated to an authentic Pakistani feast featuring Chicken Biryani, Kebabs, Paya, Nihari, Shahi Korma, and Kheer. Each dish, integral to Pakistan’s diverse and flavorful cuisine, was carefully prepared and shared, turning the event into a vibrant gastronomic adventure. The smiles, satisfied palates, and shared experiences from this event will undoubtedly be remembered for years to come.

The celebration of Eid ul Adha, took place on the 30th of June at Hollandse club.
SPA community gathered for a festive dinner and entertainment with families to enjoy the special Feast. The programme included Trivia, Tambola, Antakshari and a Musical evening, performed by Mr.Shaheryar. The High Commissioner of Pakistan Mrs.Rukhsana Afzal also graced the occasion by attending the Eid and participating in all activities. It was a well spent evening for our Pakistani community.
