READETT – Basic Etiquette and Reading through Storytelling By Zujaja Yahya Barry

This course will comprise classes in which the children will have talks on basic etiquette, before reading from books that carry messages to internalize the etiquette lesson given earlier. Examples of etiquette include appropriate postures, good manners.
Every class will have a 20-minute talk and then a 20-minute snack break, during which further training will be done on the etiquette of eating and drinking. After the break, children will be encouraged to share more about themselves, discuss their favorite book, part of the day etc. This will again be supported by etiquette training.
Every session will assert one good etiquette behavior.
Zujaja is a graduate in Microbiology. At present she is studying her Diploma in Early Childhood Education from the Seeds Institution. She has four years of teaching under her belt which she gained at the British Overseas School in Karachi, Pakistan, and now is a relief teacher at the Australian International School in Singapore.
Zujaja states “It will be an excellent opportunity for me to be of some good to the Pakistani community and use my skills, to broaden their imagination and enhance language development”
