Story sharing

Listening to stories and experiences is an age-old tradition, whether it is done under the shades of a Banyan tree or in the dim-lit setting of a drawing room anywhere around the globe, it’s always a treasured experience. Bearing this in mind SPA brings to you “sharing Stories” whereby you will meet faces some familiar and some known and will get a chance to see through their eyes and walk through the pathways they chose.

The first meet up of the sort is with “Adnan Jaffer”, a well-known TV and film artist whose recent film “pinky Memsab” made waves globally. Our drama watchers have admired his work in the play “Jackson Heights”.

But there is more to the performer Adnan which was revealed on the night of 29th November in prose, poetry, theatrics, and tune.

An evening with moin akhtar featuring faisal qazi & zubair ilyas at dbs auditorium

The legendary Pakistani standup comedian, Moin Akhtar, performed live to a packed DBS Auditorium. The budding comic Faisal Qazi performed as a capable student of the maestro. This was Moin Akhtar’s first appearance in Singapore and his jokes and gags had the crowd in fits of laughter for over 3 hours. Local artist Zubair Ilyas also performed classical Pakistani music. A night to remember. Sadly this was the great Moin Akhtars last performance as he passed away in 2011.
