The Chaand Raat was attended by over a 100 ladies and a few accompanying gentleman for whom separate arrangement was organized. There was mehndi and bangles. Scarfs were gifted to all the ladies. Stalls were set up selling eid clothes, jewellery and handicrafts.

Mediterranean food was served which was thoroughly enjoyed by every one. Ladies sang and the little girls danced. Festivities continued well into the night.

Spa eid dinner @ bayview flyer

Eid Dinner 2012 was held at Bayview restaurant, Singapore Flyer overlooking the famous Sands by the Bay. . The event was attended by over 200 people. Many new families joined SPA. Guests were served a variety of mouthwatering Chaats, followed by a sumptuous buffet and fresh Jalebis.

Light hearted games were played and the lucky winners received a variety of prizes donated by various organisations. The guests enjoyed the melodious tunes of Satinder Hans, known as the “King of Performances” he enthralled the listeners with his songs and charmed the audience. Hans flew in especially for the event from Jakarta. All in all a very delightful evening was had by all with an over whelming turn out.

Purification of the heart – workshop

Singapore pakistani Association in collaberation with The Arab ladies Network and Women of the World Group (WOW) organised a talk and workshop on the above. The event was held at the High Commissioners home and was attended by people from all communities.

Red cross bazaar

On 21 October 2012, Pakistan High Commission invited SPA to collaborate on the Pakistani stall at the Red Cross Annual Fund-Raising Bazaar. The Pakistani food was a roaring hit, and was sold out before the end of the bazaar. Even the heavy downpour of rain was unable to dampen spirits out to contribute to raising funds for The Red Cross; the bazaar was packed with people. SPA is glad to have been a part of this effort by the Pakistan High Commission. To all volunteers who contributed in any way, whether by cooking and donating food, manning the stall, donating handicraft SPA is very grateful for the support.
