Spa coffee morning – talk on weight management by thompson medical centre
Weight to go…. Besides the social aspect, the aim of coffee mornings are to learn or try something different. Weight to go was held at the beautiful furniture boutique , Windows to the Past. Special thanks to Dr Saba Munir, who arranged representatives of Thompson medical to come and talk about not only various programmes they were offering to lose weight but also how to eat healthy, portion control and the big trans fat issue. For many it was an eye opener about which oil to use for what, small and simple changes for a healthy lifestyle.

Spa supporting rahat fateh ali khan– live in singapore at the star theatre
SPA was one of the supporting sponsors of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Live in Singapore bought to Singapore by Jade Pte Ltd. The master of Sufi devotional music, Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan performed in Singapore on October 5 for a mesmerizing concert that touched the hearts and souls of Pakistani and other nations. The members came out in droves to see their favourite Pakistani artist in full force.
Rahat is the master of the rapturous Sufi devotional music form, the qawwali. Heir to the legacy of his uncle the late, great Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, he has acquired the same quality his uncle had of hypnotizing audiences with the power of his voice, and the control he exerts over it.
In his concert at the acoustically magnificent Star Theatre, which comes after a gap of two years, accompanied by his talented music troupe, Rahat‘s trademark blend of qawwali and modern tunes showcased the singer’s mantra of ‘spreading love, peace and harmony’.
Rahat’s concert drove his audiences into a state of ecstasy, with his spellbinding display of Qawwali’s intricacies. His incandescently soulful, yet exultant voice soars and swoops through musical numbers, amid settings that range from lush, catchy pop to dreamy, romantic ballads.

Spa eid ul adha brunch at raffles town club
SPA held a wonderful afternoon with a scrumptuous lunch and entertainment for the community at the Raffles Town Club on October 15.
The event was a great success, and the community participation showed how eager people were to celebrate Eid together at a community event. The afternoon was kicked off by our co-MC’s Imran and Salman, who entertained those present a general Q&A , lucky draw and games this was followed by an enthralling musical performance by Azra Mohyeddin. Mums and Dads reclined into their seats as the children were entertained by Kung fu Panda ,candy floss and an all time favorite magic show .
Whether it’s Eid or other important dates we celebrate in our calendar, what’s definitely clear is that people love to get together and do so together, as one community. The SPA looks forward to hosting more of such events in 2014.

Spa present ghazal night with azra mohiddin @ beverley hills function room
SPA organized a casual evening with multi-talented artist Azra Mohyeddin (wife of Zia Mohyeddin), who besides acting also sings Ghazals & Classical music .She recently has been in many Pakistani Dramas, to name a few” Mujhey Khuda pe Yaqeen Hai”, ” Jia Na Jaye” and “Nannhi”. Azra’s lovely voice resonated with such power and grace that her listeners are spellbinded by the magic of her beautiful voice. People from all communities came together for a magical evening.
